Summary: I just have to say this is the best receiver I have ever used. Very easy to use and it sounds great, really the best part is how it thinks for you by changing outputs when you turn your equipment on and the massive amount of inputs. Never again will I but another Sony. Also noted is the great ability to up convert any signal to HDMI, relabel your inputs so you know what they are, and the ease to do so with the on screen set up.
Summary: This receiver works great. I replaced an earlier version Denon with this one, and it performs even better. The video cross over means I only have one HDMI running to my TV, with everything else running into the Denon. I definitely recommend this AVR.
Summary: I chose the 2310 over the newer 2311 because the price was right (499 on OneCall/Amazon closeout) and I prefered the huge number of input options on the back of a 2310. If your using only the newest gear (everything is HDMI, 3D TV) the 2311 is probably better for you and worth the extra money. But if you still have some older non-HDMI equipment that you want to keep for a while the 2310 has a lot more flexablility to do so.
Denon AVR2310CI 7.1-Channel Multi-Zone Home Theater Receiver
26 December 2010
Summary: The Denon AVR2310CI 7.1-Channel Multi-Zone Home Theater Receiver is a great unit. I replaced my older Onkyo 787 that I thought was great but this Denon by far outperforms it by miles attached to the same Bose speakers.
Summary: Have been very happy with this unit. I have owned other Denon products in the past and when I have upgraded have always trusted them to provide me with the best product for the purpose purchased. Can't wait to see what they come up with next! This unit was a steal!
Summary: I am a Denon veteran having previously owned the AVR 1908. I was so pleased with the sound that a was able to look past the obnoxious menus and incompatible OSD to take a chance on the 2310 after losing the 1908 in a divorce. Pricing was an issue, so waiting until the end of the model year price decrease was a must. Saved over $300. The AVR-2310 is light years easier to set-up than the predecessor I owned. OSD worked incredibly well.
Summary: i bought this receiver after having an absolutely horrible experience with an onkyo product on every level, cust service compatibility etc. i just decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to this bad boy and i could not be happier, i hooked it up calibrated it and i was done, hasn't skipped a beat.
Summary: I read many reviews about many brands before I bought the Denon. All I can say is that the "difficult to use" reputation is not deserved. The unit fully meets my expectations and makes my room rock to the soundtrack of my favourite movies. It far outperforms the 12 year old NAD it replaced at a fraction of the price. YAY !!!
Summary: My system is very simple, just a TV, Blu-Ray and 5.1 speakers (JBL S/N series w/ SVS sub). I used to be very techy but in my old age I just want something that is easy to setup and use. This receiver is perfect for me.Many people in the reviews I read were critical of the instructions and recommended an online "Denon to English" translation by a fellow named "Batpig". I set it up according to his instructions and never even cracked open the manual.
