Summary: Fit my bill. Works well as an HDMI switcher. Powers my in ceiling speakers and shelf center speaker without issue. Modern connectivity conveniences with enough power for the average surround setup. Love the speaker calibration feature. I will say that the "smart" interface sucks, slow when using a web browser and sometimes even locks up. Using the Android app is better to control receiver over the network. Receiver interfaces need to catch up to the market.
Summary: Product works well, did not have but 7 speaker connections and I had hoped for 9, but made due with a added ADCOM speaker selector. Balance is excellent. Instructions only on disc which is cumbersome unless you want to print off 100 pages+. Figure at least an hour or two to set this up if with a TV. I would recommend the unit as a good value for $ spent.
Summary: I was quite skeptical with this purchase. It was a "used" item that was labeled as "almost new" on Amazon. I had been looking for a nice AV Receiver to replace my ancient Pioneer and was directed to this particular model (along with a few others) by one of my local experts (in the Home Theater business). Denon has always had a reputation for quality components and a price tag to match. When I saw the used price I was definitely interested.
Summary: Replaced my 3 year old POS Onkyo TX-SR707 with this and so far it's working well (1 week of use). Setup was easy, no major glitches. Sirius App works but you must have subscribed to the WEB package that lets you listen via PC or mobile app for it to work. Pandora works fine. Have not tried Spotify or others. They also output to Zone 2 which was important for me for outdoor listening via 4 speakers (connected via external amp). 7.1 setup in my family room.
Pros: Setup, Updating, Network Apps
Cons: Remote, Removable Front Panel Cover, Short on legacy inputs
Summary: I replaced a Denon 2807 with this unit as I wanted to upgrade from HDMI 1.1 to 1.4a. Improvements in the standard give me more flexibility to pass video and audio without compromising quality. This unit has the surround processors built in, where as before I was using PCM from my blu-ray player to by-pass the internal surround processors in the 2807.
Summary: If you have a pre-packaged home surround sound/theater, ditch it now. The sound quality was amazing when this unit was used instead. The up conversion is seamless, I expected it to be mediocre and see some artifacts on my screen using it but that was not the case. The audssey mic/setup is good. Not perfect but defiantly a good starting point. All I had to do was adjust some decibel levels on 3 speakers the low pass filter on the subwoofer.
Summary: Great receiver, packed with features but some of them have to be ironed out, the apple and android apps are very troublesome, some features like internet radio or pandora are unusable in the app.
Summary: I purchased the Denon AVR-2113CI back in August, the first one that came in did not work, there was no output coming from the speaker connections so I had to send it back. I was going to be a couple of days late from the last day to return date, so I called Amazon and they were kind enough to let me send it out late without a problem.
Summary: I also received this 2113ci when the amazon seller (electronics-expo) ran out of the 2112, so my review is biased from having paid less, and basking in the happy glow of 'free upgrade'. I bought this receiver to replace my overheating 'PROTECT' ridden sony HTiB that was over 10yrs old, so I'm also biased as someone that is coming from a very low bar to compare performance against.
