Summary: I bought this receiver a little over a year ago. The receiver stopped working today, possibly after having done a software update. I am not pleased with the amount of money I spent on it to have it last slightly longer than the warranty period.
Summary: Prior to receiving this product I was a fan of Denon. My current receiver (prior to this product) is a high end Denon receiver cira-2006. The year after I bought the receiver Denon came out with an HDMI version. I bought this receiver to switch between HDMI inputs thereby simplifying the operation of my home theater so that my wife does not have to call on my to operate the TV. The other features of the device looked attractive so I chose this receiver.
Summary: This has unfortunately been my worst purchase on Amazon.com. I purchased the receiver to power speakers in my family room and outside patio. I purchased it using my prime account and it arrived quickly. Setup was fairly simple, but it needed to be updated so that it would work on my ipad. The iPad app unfortunately crashes often or locks up so that you can't change the station. After just 2 months one of the channels stopped working.
Summary: Sad. Sad. Sad. If this is the "new" Denon, they need to go back to the drawing board. The 2113 is packed with features, most of which are also packed with bugs. The sound quality is mediocre at best. The build quality is poor, and the remote looks and feels Emerson or Coby cheap. The network features are buggy and unreliable, especially the iPad/iPhone app, which is a joke. SiriusXM does not work at all, and tech support has been no use whatsoever.
Summary: The first unit I bought failed withing a couple of days -- the screen would go completely blank or intermittently flash dark green when switching to 480p (SD cable channel) mode from 1080i (HD cable channel). Had to return to Amazon for replacement. The second unit developed the exact same issue after about 3 weeks.
