Summary: I was so hopeful with the Denon name, but HDMI handshake seems to be a remaining problem. I could get the signal through the unit if I started on that input, but if I changed inputs, the signal would not go thorugh the unit. I had to turn the unit off and on to get the signal through.
I am not pleased with the amount of money I spent on it ...

Summary: I bought this receiver a little over a year ago. The receiver stopped working today, possibly after having done a software update. I am not pleased with the amount of money I spent on it to have it last slightly longer than the warranty period.
Summary: Fit my bill. Works well as an HDMI switcher. Powers my in ceiling speakers and shelf center speaker without issue. Modern connectivity conveniences with enough power for the average surround setup. Love the speaker calibration feature.
Summary: Originally i had purchased this receiver and 1 day later I got an Email saying they did not have that receiver in stock anymore and that i was getting the X2000 instead for the same price......needless to say i was SOOOOO HAPPY to hear that news . The x2000 is a great receiver.
Summary: I have had mixed results with Denon equipment and own a 4308ci which is in a dedicated theater room. It has been rock solid (in the ways that matter to me which is soundfield for music and movies), so I took a chance on this which was 'factory refurbished' for 350 bucks.
Summary: Very impressed. I have gone through a sell off of my old stuff, Polk rti towers, BIG Polk center, rears with a15” Velodyne sub (ct-150) Got a small mlt-2 Martin Logan setup and used the same amp (onkyo ..696) it was a 2002ish model with 100x5.
