Summary: Excellent receiver/amp. Similar sound and features to models a few years earlier, but with a simplified user interface and remote (less confusing). Purchased Denon AVR2807 a number of years ago and was so impressed by the clear sound compared to my prior brands of receivers, that I purchased the Denon AVR2112CI for my son's Christmas a couple years ago . This is a similar receiver with the latest features.
Summary: The Denon AVR-2112CI A/V Receiver is a total POS. I've owned mine for more than two years. It has been nothing but a PITA since day one. Many features simply do not work at times, usually when you need them. For instance Airplay will work one day and not the next. I am an extremely experienced network engineer and I know the issue does not reside with my network.
Summary: I've been using this receiver for 2 years now and really like it for most things. I bought it because I wanted 5.1 surround sound capability with Airplay and lots of HDMI inputs for all my networked devices (Roku, PS3, BluRay player, Google Chromecast, etc). I also liked the feature that it has a "Zone 2" that supposedly can be used to pipe audio to a separate room.
Summary: I have had this receiver for 18 months and continues to perform well. I paired it with Polk Audio speakers and sub for a great theater sound. Crystal clear with no distortion. I have no troubles with the video or audio with this receiver some people have commented. Quality piece of equipment. It does run warm so air circulation will help it last longer. Not unusual for electronics running this much power.
Summary: Not one to write reviews, I thought maybe this would help keep someone out of trouble. If you are thinking about buying this unit, run, don't walk, away now! Lousy product; poorly designed, poorly documented and erratic in its behavior. The web interface, both the app and the device generated page, are confusing and inconsistent; the designers clearly are Internet rookies. It behaves inconsistently from day to day.
Summary: After 1 year receiver stopped passing video signal to tv over hdmi which denon touts as the primary function. Many other users post similar problems. Customer support or better named "nonsupport" keeps you holding forever and then is no help. At the price of this receiver this is totally unacceptable.
Do not touch or ever considering buying Denon products

Summary: Do not buy any products made by Denon, this is a inferior product, I uses it for a few months and it started with problems, can not even boot up, damaged speakers, it clipped power every times ! now it works again !but I can;'t afford to play this game !! , when i go check around , there is a lots of return of amplifiers in Bestbuys , with the same problems ! bad engineering !
Summary: I replaced my lower end Denon with this receiver and it has worked great. Sound is noticeably improved. I can play music (or any sounds) directly from my iPad with the Denon app I downloaded for free and it works great. I have all my HDMI source cables hooked in to the unit with one cable to the TV and the unit directs everything perfectly - also I believe I had my old Wii connected to the unit via component cables and it handled that fine too.
