Summary: After 1 year receiver stopped passing video signal to tv over hdmi which denon touts as the primary function. Many other users post similar problems. Customer support or better named "nonsupport" keeps you holding forever and then is no help. At the price of this receiver this is totally unacceptable.
Do not touch or ever considering buying Denon products

Summary: Do not buy any products made by Denon, this is a inferior product, I uses it for a few months and it started with problems, can not even boot up, damaged speakers, it clipped power every times ! now it works again !but I can;'t afford to play this game !! , when i go check around , there is a lots of return of amplifiers in Bestbuys , with the same problems ! bad engineering !
Summary: I am not an audiophile/hobbyist, but I did put quite a bit of research into this unit before I purchased. Very happy with all aspects of the unit, except for its integration with streaming services on the internet, and its TV graphical user interface. I am using it with a subwoofer and left and right towers, and connecting with an Xbox 360, home network, TV, and internet.
Sounds great. Connectivity is a joke. Airplay = useless.

Summary: Let me start off by saying that this receiver sounds incredible. We have it connected to some vintage / 80s Paramount floor speakers & the sound blows away anything remotely close to what we paid for it. It has plenty of inputs for just about anything you'd need. The user interface is workable, not the best looking by any means (I'm a designer, so I'm picky about that stuff) but it works. The Audyssey technology seems to work pretty good.
Summary: There are many problems. Here is what I wrote to the Denon service center six months after purchase. "The cable HDMI input stopped working within a few months. I now use the DVD input for cable. After four months, the unit won't respond to most inputs from the remote. If I "reboot" (unplug receiver and plug back in) then it will work for some time. Finally, I keep getting a message stating that there is new firmware available - press "enter" to install.
Summary: I purchased the AVR2112CI in a boxing day special a year ago. I was sold by the impressive demo, all those cool features; internet connectivity, simultaneous separate music zones, 3D pass through, more inputs than I'll ever need... Within a couple of weeks I wished that I could take it back. The manual is 132 8.5x11 pages long and you need to read it to get this thing to work.
Summary: I replaced my lower end Denon with this receiver and it has worked great. Sound is noticeably improved. I can play music (or any sounds) directly from my iPad with the Denon app I downloaded for free and it works great. I have all my HDMI source cables hooked in to the unit with one cable to the TV and the unit directs everything perfectly - also I believe I had my old Wii connected to the unit via component cables and it handled that fine too.
Summary: I use this AMP as my media center reciever - The Highs - great surround sound for the value and powers all devices (blu-ray, Xbox, etc..) - controlled with a universal remote seamlessly - The lows - trying to use the web apps/internet radio is maddening - I have it connected to a ethernet cable and it very rarely works (gives a server error), mostly I try to use it for the pandora app, it took forever to upgrade firmware at first and again, now it rarely connects.
