Summary: This is a great receiver as far as hook-ups and the dual zone controls go. It works great with my Cable TV, Blu-Ray, and network radio (Internet Radio, Pandora, etc..) I have it hooked up via LAN cable to my network and I have speaker cables that run into my attic and drive two outdoor speakers...
Summary: Sounds good. Sending tunes to it through it's built-in airplay is hit or miss. The zone 2 (what i use for my back patio) can only play audio from rca inputs. I had to plug in an airport express to play tunes from my iphone on the back patio.
Summary: I have this avr for about 5 months already. Connected to it is an old dvd player and an apple tv 2. The equipment is also wired for internet and network access through iphones and macbook pros. The basic functionality of the denon 1913 is good. It works as expected.
Summary: Perhaps this is stating the obvious but this is very difficult to set up without connection to a TV with an HDMI cable. Not a great choice for an audio only situation. Other than that a good option so far.
Great sounding A/V receiver with one giant, misleading flaw

Summary: I have been a big fan of Denon products over the years. This company has always offered great sounding gear at affordable prices. I was torn between the AVR-1913 and the model down, the AVR-1713. In the end I decided on the 1913, due its integrated dual amplifier, multi-zone feature.
