Summary: I had been looking for some time to find a unit to replace my old Pioneer Receiver and after reading reviews on Amazon and CNET I decided that the Denon AVR-1912 was the right choice with the best feature sets.
Summary: Absolute worst worst worst purchase in 35+ years of buying hi-fi equipment. I'm not an idiot. I know my way around technology. But the UI for this thing is awful. The remote is awful. The documentation is terrible. the iOS app is an embarrassment.

Summary: After 5yrs with my Onkyo TRS605, the HDMI output stopped working so I looked at Denon because Onkyo runs HOT and I wanted to watch movies without having to continually adjust the volume between dialog and sound affects.
Summary: Best things 1) Sounds Great 2) Remote emulates 95% of all my other remotes. 3) The Internet radio 4) It looks great and you never have to see it. Everything is controlled on screen. 5) My wife finds it very easy to use. It's was also easy to explain to our babysitter.
Summary: I've had this receiver for a couple months and overall am very pleased. The sound quality is great (although that's highly dependent on the speakers as well), and they've done a nice job keeping the functionality simplified. The one-touch buttons on the front of the unit and the remote are great.
Summary: Pros: Sound quality of Audyssey EQ calibration Full-featured (though not perfect) Android App Highly customizable (thanks to Audyssey EQ) Respected brand with 2 year warranty Best sounding AV receiver around $500 (it is widely sold for $550 today) Cons: Interface is crap Streaming is buggy (very...
Summary: I bought this receiver after researching online. It is rated one of the best for it's category and for the price. Having owned it now for a few months, I completely agree. My only criticism is that I wish the menu was a bit user friendly, otherwise no issues at all.
Summary: Bought this as a replacement for my Onkyo HTIB system after the receiver conked out in less than two years (kept the speakers though, they're quite good for the money). Running the setup wizard made hooking everything up/calibrating the speakers a breeze.
Summary: It's just awesome. The AirPlay feature is the coolest thing since sliced bread!!! HDMI CEC features are great, it integrates well with the Logitech Revue. The networking is cool, but it would be nice to have built-in wifi.
Summary: This is a little long, but I urge you to take the time and enjoy the journey. I have owned the Denon AVR-1912 for two months now and these are my reactions to using it on a daily basis: combined with an Energy Take Classic surround-sound system, it produces a full and nuanced spectrum of sound that...
