Summary: I bought this AVR over a year ago. Hookup was easy and the Audyssey software did a very good job of setting up the speakers. All of my components, and TV, are connected via HDMI and I have not experienced any compatibility issues.
Summary: This is definitely a great receiver, it has a full range of inputs and supports everything without needing any switches. The receiver itself is fairly easy to use but still supports a lot of advanced options, and the ability to connect online for internet radio is definitely a plus.
head & shoulders above every other receiver I've owned

Summary: I'm a recent convert from string of Onkyo receivers. I never did any research beyond the fact that the Bose store (where I purchased my surround sound speakers) sold me my first receiver. So I'd assumed that if Bose sold it to me to go along with the speakers, it must be a sound choice. Boy was I mistaken!! Anyway, after extensive research online and asking many musician friends, I began to look at Denon. This receiver rated among the top in it's category.
Summary: This is my first real AV receiver and I couldn't have made a better choice. I upgraded from a sony home theater receiver that i had for 5yrs and after extensive research and probing with my knowledgeable best friend I chose the Denon AVR 1912. The delivery was very timely and there was no damage to the product. It was carefully wrapped and packaged by the shipper.
Summary: This product actually worked great for a few months and then just stopped passing anything out of the HDMI out. After several failed resolution attempts by Denon service over the phone, I finally had to pack it back up in its original box and send into a service center. Several weeks later, after a replaced digital board, I got it back and it worked for 3 days before it started randomly dropping the HDMI output again.
Summary: I researched receivers a great deal before buying this one. You cannot beat the value on a receiver with Internet connectivity. I coupled this with Netgear Universal WIFI Adapter. The Apple Airplay is an ease to use and sounds great! Highly recommended.
Summary: Had to replace a high end Sony receiver as part of a HDMI technology upgrade of the media room. Didn't want to spent $900 and managed to find this device. The HD up scale is pretty decent. The HDMI switching is ok - it doesn't seem to like it when by blue ray switches between different video streams, e.g. from the Homeland Security warning to the first preview this device will stop sending video to my projector and cause it to show the default blue screen.
