Summary: Every now and then the picture and sound just go off, for about a second. Its been going on ever since I got this product. I have called customer service several times. I would give some of their customer service agents a 0 star and some 2 star and one a 3 star. Issue has not really been resolved. Perhaps I need to work harder to get this fixed or perhaps I should buy another receiver. Also denon offers another model (without the Dj or whatever feature) for $50 less.
Summary: I ordered this receiver in the first week of January. It did not work and after talking to tech support, they advise that it be returned. The supplier, Electronics Expo, received the receiver back on 1/29/10. I have left one voice mail and sent two emails asking them when they would resend a good machine. I have had no reply. This service is miserable!!!!
Summary: In short, I have had THE MOST negative experience of my life with both DENON customer service representative D&M HOLDINGS, as well as my brand new AVR-1909. After purchasing my unit in Sacramento (no local DENON dealers), more than 5 hours away from my home I hooked everything up and everything worked for 20 minutes tops.
Summary: I bought two Ipod docks by Denon which didn't work and my reciever kept shutting down. Have you ever tried to set this thing up? You need to be a rocket surgeon to do so. There are many other user friendly units out there that actually work. I switched to Harman Kardon, I would suggest you go elsewhere too.
Summary: Besitze dieses Gerät etwas mehr als ein Jahr. Nach dreimaliger Reparatur und mehreren Telefonaten mit Denontechnikern war es zusammen gerechnet ca. 3 Monate irgendwo unterwegs. Und wofür ? Für nix! Nach einigen Monaten sehr guter Zusammenarbeit mit meinem Teufel CR System + Homecast Sat Receiver + Pioneer DVD Player + Sony KDL 4500 (alles außer Boxen natürlich über HDMI angeschlossen) fing der Receiver sich an zu verabschieden.
