My first Denon as well as my first purchase from J&R. I made my order on the phone and it was easy and the person I talked to was incredibly friendly. The system is amazing, lots of power, beautiful design, and enough inputs to satisty analog, digital and HDMI connections. I did research for months on which receiver I was going to get. My family had gotten denon before and thus my research started with the 1909. It is feature rich system with a 7.1 ability or a 2 zone 5.1/2 ability. The first thing I noticed when I set it up with a pain of my old speakers is that with no set up the sound was as crisp, clear, and controlled without even being set up correctly. Read more
I bought two Ipod docks by Denon which didn't work and my reciever kept shutting down. Have you ever tried to set this thing up? You need to be a rocket surgeon to do so. There are many other user friendly units out there that actually work. I switched to Harman Kardon, I would suggest you go elsewhere too. Read more
