Summary: Great price, but what a pain to program. Steve Jobs would have had a fit. You will need to have a monitor attached to set it up and yes the rca video output does not work to be used as a monitor you have to use HDMI, shame on you! I want to use a cheap 7" LCD monitor.
Summary: This receiver is great in some ways and annoying in other ways. The sound and features are awesome. It's modern in the fact that there are many different ways to connect devices (HDMI, USB, AUX, AirPlay). Most of the features work flawlessly. AirPlay could be improved.
Summary: The presentation really has an impact. The display board is large and easy to read. Big plus for those of us who are optically challenged as a bat. Controls are well identified. The system set up procedure is very impressive. Using the Audyssey, I discovered a couple speakers were out of phase. Wow!
Summary: This was a perfect unit. I didn't mind the price for a quality item, but then the power went out during an update. The update was frozen for about 40 minutes... the power went out. Now it is stuck and I can't get the update to finish. The unit will no longer stream with airplay.
Summary: I can't really compare the quality of audio to other receivers, but it does a good job with my 5.1 channel setup. The problem is that there is no built-in wifi, and when using an internet bridge (Netgear WNCE 2001) the audio stutters.
Summary: I'm definitely not electronically inclined. I have not used this product for much more than television at this point so cannot speak to the overall quality. I had two instillation questions which I submitted online. Both questions were answered quickly and correctly.
Summary: I have researched many receivers and this was the one that I settled on. I have been using this unit for 7-months so far and I really like it. With the right Blu-rays, the surround sound sounds amazing. Also, the built-in Audyssey technology made equalizing the surround sound really easy.
