  • Conclusion: There are a lot of things to like about the AVR-1713. In a world increasingly dependent on smart phones, wifi and the internet, Airplay and network connectivity are almost a requirement these days. Streaming music from your Apple device or from internet radio gives you an unlimited supply of your favorite and new music. Add to this, plenty of rear and front panel connectivity, and you have a rock solid receiver to build your home theater around.

  • Excerpt: As we go through this review we’re going to list an awful lot of features that are missing from Denon’s AVR-1713 networked AV receiver. And for just about every single one of them we’re going to say, in the context of this receiver’s target purchaser, ‘good riddance’! The reason? If you don’t have a whole lot of money to spend on a home theatre receiver, then the shedding of unneeded extras means a lower price while delivering the things that you do need.
