Summary: I love this receiver. Airplay is the star feature and works almost always. Wish it had more HDMI ports. The On screen display is OK. Not the fanciest interface but it works. Never use Pandora on it but needs improvement. The Audessy calibrates the speakers well. For some reason when I connect them to bose, they show phase error. If you know Bose the connectors come pre-molded with less chance to mess up. When I connected to Martin Logans, there were no more issues.
Summary: Sound quality is AMAZING!!!! We sit listening to it with the windows open and the surround sound is so good that we think the sounds are coming from outside, however they are coming from the movie.....
Summary: Setup is quite easy, and the extra network/apple airplay features are nice. This is my first receiver, so I can't really compare it to anything else, but it's a great starter for someone who is just getting into this sort of thing.
Summary: I purchased this unit to power speakers for an outdoor kitchen and it works great! It is easy to use and the ability to plug my IPhone in the front USB port and play music from my Itunes account made this the perfect unit. I have purchased Denon brand receivers before and you won't find a better receiver for the money!
Summary: I have looked everywhere for a solution and cannot find out if they ever fixed the issue, most blogs say it is a Pandora issue not Denon. Simple fact it wont play my Pandora One which I never really listen to regular radio because I hace enough commercials/ advertising in my life.
Summary: Super easy set up. 5 point Audyssey calibration. Internet radio plug and play. Nice swelling of volume when changing inputs so you don't get slammed with high volume. iPhone app pretty cool. Does what it says it does. Happy so far. My last 2 Onkyo's had issues.
Summary: I bought this to replace my Onkyo receiver which was still working fine but couldn't handle the new technology of my TV and DVD player. So far I absolutely love this receiver, and the fact that my Samsung remote changes the volume on it just makes it that much better. I only need one remote! Totally recommend this receiver to anyone who want the most value for their money.
Summary: this is a fine product.. really a winner in its class .. you can read on and on about specs but in the end its how it sounds and how it works sounds... like pretty much every other receiver in its class.. i like denon so it sounds great to me.. (I should say that i am pickey and have a sony and a yamaha both only months old in the garage waiting to go on ebay because they are not as good) before connecting this unit get some beer..
Summary: My TX-NR809 fried in some sort of electrical surge, I guess, so had to replace it. This was 1/3 the cost and sounds just as good, and it meets my needs perfectly. Setup was easy with the onscreen guide, Audessey setup was a piece of cake. Sounds great, looks great!
Summary: So far, so good. It's a basic receiver with only 5 channels, but unless you physically have more than 5 speakers and a subwoofer, you don't need anything more that this. Sound quality is extremely clean and the GUI flows seamlessly.
