Summary: Everything has worked well for me on this receiver. The remote is easy to program and the layout is pretty straight forward as it is for most AV receivers. There is nothing too fancy here with internet connectivity but if you're like me I already have a smart TV, Playstation, Apple TV, etc already hooked up so already enough connectivity is there.
Summary: Remote can be set up to not only choose the HDMI device to use, but can also turn it on or off. Comes with a microphone to set up the speaker balance too. Includes FM antenna. Only requires 5.1 speakers.
Summary: I replaced a Denon AVR-1602 Receiver because I wanted HDMI capabilities that the AVR 1612 has. It is very clean and quiet even at max for this price. Quality stuff in there. The setup for the AVR-1612 was fairly straightforward but your set up might be more or less complicated. The instructions are easy to follow. This receiver comes alive with the Dolby Surround and DTS. I will continue buying Denon as long they continue to produce excellent products at a fair price.
Summary: Bought this unit on sale after my old Sony receiver quit on me. This model is a couple of years old now, but it still offers top quality sound, runs all my home entertainment gear through it. The interface on my monitor is basic, not very polished, but once the unit is set up I hardly ever see it.
Summary: Using the included microphone to set all of the surround levels is super simple. The only additional adjustment I made was to increase the center channel a bit. The quality of the surround sound is excellent out of this receiver.
Summary: easy setup although manual was a bit confusing at first for a newbee, but after a few read threws made sense. having trouble with remote controlling other devices, but pretty sure I'll figure that out too. persavearance!
