Summary: I know Denon is a good product. It is well priced and works great for my home theater. I have the Energy Take 5.1 speakers made my Klispch and it is a great match for this A/V system. Love the features for the HDMI isolation and the way you can make 1 dominate while off. no need to set the other settings. easy buttons on the remote to chose your input. great product!
Summary: As an amp it is a really good one. The only thing I do not like is the ipod/hard drive control interface: slow and not very friendly. But these can be used through the dock input... so it's no big deal.
Summary: I'm satisfied with my Dennon reciever I recently purchased..I know I could have bought better but for the price I couldn't ask for more quality...very good quality and would recomend to anyone.
Summary: I used to own a Denon AVR-989 and this receiver seems to meet their usual high quality standards. The general consensus is that the AVR-1612 is a must buy over the bottom of the line AVR-1312. It includes Audyssey which automatically tunes your room to the best settings. I am happy with it so far. It is a full-size receiver so don't expect for it to be slim and sleek or anything.
Summary: I was actually upgraded to the newer model, the 1613, because the provider ran out of 1612s. The receiver is a pretty good receiver with a good "movie" mode for surround sound, but lacks some of the connectivity I was expecting. Since the receiver boasted that it was compatible with Air Play technology, I assumed wrongly that it has wifi connectivity. It doesn't.
Summary: I bought this Denon receiver to replace a 2 year old Samsung HTIB that was weak from the beginning, so anything would be better. I hooked the AVR up to an Energy Take 5.1 speaker set and I must say the system CRANKS!!!! I have it hooked up to a Samsung UN46B6000 TV, Direct TV, PS3, and XBOX 360. It moves easily between the different inputs and the Audissey is an easy set up.
Summary: great receiver for the price. i have a medium size living room 5.1 setup and sounds great. $200 delivered cant ask for much more. audessy setup fairly easy. the bad- the remote is of poor quality. no manual! comes with cdrom instead. the manual is a little confusing. i recommend reading "batpig's denon to english dictionary" before deciding which model to purchase.
Summary: This is my first receiver and I could not be happier with it. It sounds great and has all the features needed for a beginners home theater. My only complaint, and the only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is that i did not receive the calibration mic that is supposed to be bundled with it.
Summary: My third AVR from this company. I always go through all the major brands. I even gave Pioneer an audition. Ended up back with a Denon. Using in main lounge. The easy set up with Audessy I came to like through experience with my 2311. My kids have already learned how to manilulate the controls for switching between X-box, BD players and cable. The upconversion is very good except cable.
