Denon AVR Receiver

29 September 2013
  • Summary: I like the sound but the internet connection to listen to the radio takes an long time to start. Almost a minute. I don't understand why. My computer starts in much less time.

Great for the price.

Kevin Lynch "Crimmy", Amazon
28 March 2013
  • Summary: I know Denon is a good product. It is well priced and works great for my home theater. I have the Energy Take 5.1 speakers made my Klispch and it is a great match for this A/V system. Love the features for the HDMI isolation and the way you can make 1 dominate while off.

Great amp... ipod interface not nice

Jorge Ricardo Barriga, Amazon
18 January 2013
  • Summary: As an amp it is a really good one. The only thing I do not like is the ipod/hard drive control interface: slow and not very friendly. But these can be used through the dock input... so it's no big deal.

Another solid Denon receiver

BYC, Amazon
4 December 2012
  • Summary: I used to own a Denon AVR-989 and this receiver seems to meet their usual high quality standards. The general consensus is that the AVR-1612 is a must buy over the bottom of the line AVR-1312. It includes Audyssey which automatically tunes your room to the best settings. I am happy with it so far.

Good receiver but connectivity lacking

Papa Jack, Amazon
19 September 2012
  • Summary: I was actually upgraded to the newer model, the 1613, because the provider ran out of 1612s. The receiver is a pretty good receiver with a good "movie" mode for surround sound, but lacks some of the connectivity I was expecting.

So far, so good

shagdaddy07, Amazon
8 August 2012
  • Summary: I bought this Denon receiver to replace a 2 year old Samsung HTIB that was weak from the beginning, so anything would be better. I hooked the AVR up to an Energy Take 5.1 speaker set and I must say the system CRANKS!!!! I have it hooked up to a Samsung UN46B6000 TV, Direct TV, PS3, and XBOX 360.

Great buy for the price!

texpert, Amazon
23 November 2011
  • Summary: I also bought this product at best buy for $300. What an amazing product for the price! Paired with some Klipsch HDT speakers, you can't go wrong if you are looking to do a low budget theater. The audyssey calibration is great.

AVR 1612 First Impressions

David, Amazon
11 June 2009
  • Summary: My first impressions of the AVR 1612 are good. I think it's one of the best 5.1 Tuners for the price. I've got mine hooked up to the Energy Take Classic 5.1 Surround setup, and it sounds great after using the Audyssey MultEQ auto setup to balance the speakers out.
