Summary: Bought this unit on sale after my old Sony receiver quit on me. This model is a couple of years old now, but it still offers top quality sound, runs all my home entertainment gear through it. The interface on my monitor is basic, not very polished, but once the unit is set up I hardly ever see it.
Summary: HI I purchased this receiver on June 29, 2012. I paired it with Polk Audio RM705 5.1 It worked perfectly till last week. & from Last week suddenly there is no audio output from Left surround channel . I checked the speaker by attaching on different channel , the speaker is ok .
Summary: As an amp it is a really good one. The only thing I do not like is the ipod/hard drive control interface: slow and not very friendly. But these can be used through the dock input... so it's no big deal.
Summary: I purchased the Denon AVR-1612 previously and immediately after installing in a well ventilated area the unit would shut off for no apparent reason. I put a fan by it to see if it needed to be cooled down and it still would shut off.
Summary: I'm satisfied with my Dennon reciever I recently purchased..I know I could have bought better but for the price I couldn't ask for more quality...very good quality and would recomend to anyone.
Summary: Using the included microphone to set all of the surround levels is super simple. The only additional adjustment I made was to increase the center channel a bit. The quality of the surround sound is excellent out of this receiver.
Summary: easy setup although manual was a bit confusing at first for a newbee, but after a few read threws made sense. having trouble with remote controlling other devices, but pretty sure I'll figure that out too. persavearance!
Summary: I used to own a Denon AVR-989 and this receiver seems to meet their usual high quality standards. The general consensus is that the AVR-1612 is a must buy over the bottom of the line AVR-1312. It includes Audyssey which automatically tunes your room to the best settings. I am happy with it so far.
