Summary: Great AVR glad I bought it! This AVR works for both movies, tv, and music.... I've got it hooked up to a set of Klipsch Quartets and its really good for such a low priced model. I was surprised at how easy it drove the speakers even at high volume with out putting on the protection mode. I will be adding a Klipsch center speaker and that will be all unitl I move when I will use the tuner and XM radio feature to run my garage set up....
Excerpt: I can't fault the Denon brand for home theatre systems. There are a lot of cheap 5.1 systems nowadays that are very tempting, but if you want a true hair-raising experience, it's nice to go for something with substance - an amplifier like this one. We've used ours to replace our ageing hi-fi alongside a Denon DVD player and a Bush turntable. The sound is so fantastic that we have never gone back to using the TV's inbuilt speakers.
Pros: Lots of inputs . HDMI support . Good controls . Auto - switching for Dolby 5 . 1
Cons: Menus are sometimes fiddly . No menu on TV, only on small screen .
