Summary: I bought this receiver for my garage setup. No, I'm not a redneck with a hydraulic lift in my garage. I was looking for a receiver that would produce good solid sound that wouldn't break the bank. I have 2 other Denon receivers in my house, so I decided to stay with a quality product that I know.
Summary: Paired up with a full 5.1 Polk speaker set up, the receiver has an odd combination of ports on the backside but it all works out in the end. It may not be their most powerful receiver but it gets the job done and is stable. Much better than a home theater in a box which preceded this.
Summary: This completely meets my needs. Has all of the inputs and outputs I needed. Plenty of power, and great quality sound. I haven't been able to get the sync audio/video feature to work perfectly, but that might not be the units fault, but something to do with the cabling and/or dishnetwork service.
Summary: Love this receiver. Far superior to my old one which was all analog and out dated. It has more than HDMI slots that needed for my basic 5.1 set up. So I have room to grow. It also accommodates the old VCR and other analog connections needed. Overall good features and quality.
Summary: this sound system works great!!! theres actually no need to buy an expensive one...thats for people who just want to show off!! it works perfect, sounds amazing!! does everything you need it to do and its 1/2 the price of everything else that does exactly the same!!!
Summary: This item is a factory refurbished unit. I opened the box, set it up and it's worked perfectly every since. The "cons" to this unit are: 1. the physical size is larger than I expected. It takes up a lot of realestate on the shelf. 2: The 'power' to the speakers is lacking.
Summary: Have used Denon audio components for decades; some 30 years, and they still work. All I needed was an amp w/digital optical for a new plasma tv. This unit fit the bill perfectly. It is easier to set up through the tv, rather than the unit's display, but very easy on the tv.
