Summary: Paired up with a full 5.1 Polk speaker set up, the receiver has an odd combination of ports on the backside but it all works out in the end. It may not be their most powerful receiver but it gets the job done and is stable. Much better than a home theater in a box which preceded this.
Summary: This completely meets my needs. Has all of the inputs and outputs I needed. Plenty of power, and great quality sound. I haven't been able to get the sync audio/video feature to work perfectly, but that might not be the units fault, but something to do with the cabling and/or dishnetwork service. Works perfectly for DVD's.
Summary: this sound system works great!!! theres actually no need to buy an expensive one...thats for people who just want to show off!! it works perfect, sounds amazing!! does everything you need it to do and its 1/2 the price of everything else that does exactly the same!!!
Summary: Have used Denon audio components for decades; some 30 years, and they still work. All I needed was an amp w/digital optical for a new plasma tv. This unit fit the bill perfectly. It is easier to set up through the tv, rather than the unit's display, but very easy on the tv.
Summary: This is probably one of the most high quality purchases I have ever made. Previously I was attempting to use a very cheap, crappy 3in to 1out HDMI switch for video switching, with a completely separate system for routing audio. This receiver alleviates that and makes the experience of switching input devices much easier! The biggest motivation for writing this review though, is the QUALITY of audio I am now hearing through my speakers.
