Summary: I needed a small receiver/amplifier to fit into a new piece of furniture. I was somewhat concerned about the power rating but opted to use efficient Polk Audio speakers. This is older tech but the sound is very good albeit a little light on bass. So far, it works well with my configuration.
Summary: I got this little unit for the pool room. They are driving my old but still good Polk Audio D90 speakers. Sound is quite clear. The base is fairly decent, although I was not expecting that going in. I also like the Ipod dock. It does a pretty good job playing music from there. Recommended.
Summary: Well, this one is my second AR30. Got one in two rooms now. Guess what? It's just like the first one I bought except in Black. So what's the big deal? Hmm, nothin'. They both have the same smooth midrange. Plenty of power for a small room with small monitors. A little cut off on the highs, but that leads to extra smoothness. Somewhat boxy sounding but that depends on the media and the speakers. Overall sound is Pleasant and Listenable.
Summary: First of all, I got lucky on the price of this unit. Amazon Warehouse Deals had one for about $60 less than the usual retail price, and the only flaw was a tiny ding in the plastic of the iPod dock that comes with the AR30. Otherwise, this is a completely new unit, and functions flawlessly.
Solid receiver with quality build and great sound...

Summary: Had the unit for a week and impressed with design aesthetics and features. Functionality is base line which is what I wanted vs. a complicated feature set. Audio controls are bass/treble and subwoofer, easily understandable and adjustable vs. over complicated models with unused adjustments. The sound is top quality and delivers a great range of audio at all volume and setting levels. An example of the build quality...
Summary: how can they discontinue this its great . it is really hard to get anything home audio that is small enough, we don't all need full size receivers. but we still want to listen to real speakers. great for condo living, powers energy veritas minis its great cant turn it up that loud anyway. and the price wow.
Summary: Nice and small with excellent power and overall great sound. I am running a pair of ascend acoustic cbm 170se's paired with an Aperion intimus 8 subwoofer and the sound is wonderful with plenty of power to push these speakers.
