Summary: I wanted so much to like this game. I am an old-school gamer, and I remembered fondly my time with the original Yoshi's Island. I loved the enduring cartoonish look, and the gameplay was all spot-on. However, it seems something has been lost in the translation here that I can't put my finger on.
This game is nothing special. A big disappointment.

Summary: I found this game to be a big disappointment. I very much enjoyed the other two Yoshi's Island games, however this one was just very bland, there was nothing about it that made it special or unique or even very exciting at all.
Summary: Fun, but lacking inspiration. The original Yoshi's Island was the one and only game I ever bought for myself on SNES, having saved up £1 per week for 40 weeks (such was my pocket money income at the time). As such, it has a special place in my heart.
Summary: The SNES version is much better than this version, but New Island still offers okay egg-tossing, platforming fun. Yoshi's New Island brings back the platform jumping, egg tossing dino gameplay from the SNES.
Summary: For touting itself as "New," YNI tries very little of anything new, and relies on nostalgia and series hallmarks to carry it, neither of which it executes well. The music and artwork are fine; they don't meaningfully detract from the game in any way. Somewhat sleepy, certainly, but not terrible.
Summary: "Yoshi Island Level expansion pack" would be a more fitting title for this game. nowhere as bad as the DS game but nowhere as remarakble as the original. I'd recommend it for some mindless fun.
Summary: It brings back nostalgia. But only for the first couple levels. You end up doing the same things over and over for every level. The game doesn't bring much new to the table and you will get bored very quickly. The graphics also hurt my eyes after long gameplay.
Summary: The actual game is great fun! Cute graphics with memorable enemies and puzzle scenes. Unlike Mario, there's no timer so the game is designed to to be explored. Levels are puzzles and that's fun.
Summary: An Egg-stremely frustrating experience Yoshi's New Island does not add anything game changing to the already established series and the game is instead a tweaking of the 19 year old original with the addition of a couple of new gimmicks.
Same classic yoshi island experience with NEW additions

Summary: This game is very colorful, you can beat it really quickly. If you want to complete everything then you'll get your money's worth. Each world has it's own hard levels and trust me there hard only for the purpose of collecting all the stars, red coins and flowers.
