Summary: This is old school stealth at its finest, and because of that the controls will take a little getting used to. I found the gun controls,( X Y B A, for camera movement as well, ) fine since I never really took more than one shot, though if action is your flavor I suggest going with the circle pad pro. However this is meant to be a stealth game so don't expect big shoot outs. Overall a fine port of a wonderful classic but be patient with the old controls.
Summary: Arrived a day before estimated. Like any other Splinter Cell game, it is OK, except for the controls. Using the A,B,X,Y buttons to aim and look around is annoying at first, but you get used to it. However, I expected this before buying because it's a handheld shooter.
Summary: I really wanted him to like it, but for whatever reason he is totally disinterested even though he loved 1st person and 3rd person shooter games on Xbox360 and PS3... Maybe it is too hard and meant for 10+yos?
Summary: Now the price of the game and the context of it being a splinter cell game are the only reasons I bought this. It's basically a bad repelling of old episodes in the series you have probably already played on the console. The only worse game in the splinter cell series would have to be their iOS game which is very close to this one. I enjoyed the PSP one more.
Summary: I am a big Splinter Cell fan. This game is a lot better than I thought it would be on a hand held system. It stays true to the series and is extremely fun to play on my 3DS XL. My only complaint about the game is they should have let the gamer decide if they wanted to use the circle pad pro. It would be an evn better game if I could use it.
Summary: I got this on the cheap while considering whether to get Splinter Cell Blacklist on Wii U. I'm a newcomer to the series, and had heard stuff like "Blacklist is the best Splinter Cell since Chaos Theory", which is the installment this game is based on. I was quickly convinced that there is a lot to like about this series, so I went ahead and got Blacklist, and love it. Meanwhile, I also enjoy having a portable game in the series.
Summary: At first I thought this game was going to suck just as bad as Splinter Cell: Essentials on the PSP. I was shocked on how good this game was on a handheld. Although it is a remake of Chaos Theory, i was really satisfied with how well the camera movement is, the touch screen makes it so easy to bring out weapons, and the gameplay is very smooth. Don't think that because this game is low priced that it isn't worth it because it totally is.
