Summary: this was given to me as an easter present and don t waste ur money on this verision! get it for ps3. this verison is a huge down graded verision and honestly if feels so imcomplete because so much was cut.
Summary: I've played the PC version of the game and was very impressed. I saw that there were different levels included in this version. I was particularly excited about the boss from Sonic 3 making an appearance. However, while the other versions of this game on other platforms creates a genuinely different experience from Classic to Modern, this game falls short. Classic and Modern both followed the same 2D style and weren't very different from each other.
a mixed bag, rent it but do not buy it unless you are hardcore into sonic

Summary: as a big sonic fan i like this game, but for most people you wont find enough content, and the game feels broken like many other sonic games. the gameplay is very slow paced most of the time with a focus on platforming, and sudden stops to get hit by cheaply placed obstacles. deaths are commonplace. it is definately not as good as the home console versions, but as a handheld game it's alright i guess..the graphics are surprisingly bad for a 3DS game.
A fitting 20th anniversary celebration for Sonic and the gang!

Excerpt: SEGA made this game to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog's 20th anniversary and it does the job pretty well. In this game you get to play as both "Modern Sonic" (how he currently looks) and "Classic Sonic" (loveablem chubby Sonic straight out of the 90s). This game is very good, the best Sonic game in years. For a 3DS game the graphics are pretty nice and the sound quality is perfect, bringing to life those fantastic Sonic anthems of years gone by.
Pros: Great gameplay while it lasts and very funny as well .
Cons: Multiplayer mode is not very good and the game is very short .
Summary: As a kid the only sonic game I played was Sonic Heroes on PS2. After a recommendation from a friend I purchased this game. I must say it is not nearly as enjoyable as Sonic Heroes and the story has little to do with the levels you have to complete. If completing a level was not enjoyable for you for the first time, don't fear, as you get two other chances to complete a variation of the same level.
