Pac-Man Party 3D

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Would you like to know how powerful the Nintendo 3DS is? Compare Pac-Man Party 3D on the 3DS to Pac-Man Party on the Wii. Yes the 3DS version is a scaled down version, but it looks awesome. The transition to the hand held has been a good one. What seems strange though is a party game on the hand held. Maybe I am not thinking about it properly since there is the download play option.

Classic arcade game hero now in board game.

Common Sense Media
9 May 2012
  • Summary: Parents need to know that Pac-Man 3D Party is a collection of mini-games in which players have to tap the screen, press buttons, and follow on-screen commands more quickly and with more accuracy than their opponents. The main gameplay mode is presented as a board game where players build castles on unoccupied spaces and collect points whenever another player lands on their castle -- sort of like a simplified version of Monopoly.

Pac-Man Party 3D Review

PlayDevil
13 March 2012
  • Summary: Missing the point entirely " Pac-Man Party 3D " is an ill-conceived port of a party game that I assume was only ever mediocre. While some fun I am sure could have been gleaned with it during a night of drinking and friends in front of a Wii, in the palm of my hand it was frustrating and misplaced. A few fun mini-games and the three classic arcade games just cannot make up for the rest of this uninspired title.

It's A Pac Attack

GIN
4 January 2012
  • Excerpt: To start off with, I'm going to answer the question that is no doubt going through your head. I'm sure you're thinking "Pac-Man party...like Mario Party?" The answer to that question is yes, it's a lot like Mario's party. Now I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It took me back to the days when my brother and I used to settle our differences on Mario Party. In fact, many of the concepts of Mario party are a major part of Pac-Man party as well.

Pac-Man Party 3D Review

GameZone
9 December 2011
  • Excerpt: The journey of our beloved Pac-Man from 2D to 3D has been one of mixed reviews. The Pac-Man World franchise was a spin off of the extremely popular and addicting arcade game, Pac-Man . Taking Pac-Man from his classic 2D world of patterns and ghosts, and throwing him into the 3D platforming genre has been an interesting ride for him to say the least.

Nintendo World Report

  • Summary: Does this party ever end?
  • Pros: And old arcade titles, Includes a boatload of minigames, Single-card download play
  • Cons: Graphics and sound are lifeless and generic, Takes a dog's age to play through even a two-player game, Wii's pointer-based games don't always translate well, You're unlikely to find three other people to play this with

Expert Review

Official Nintendo Magazine
19 February 2012
  • Excerpt: As Pac-Man Party's story mode tells us, "Stories are like cookies. Some are sweet, or hard to swallow, and everyone has a favourite." If we extend this analogy to games, then Pac-Man Party 3D would be a stale pack of Jammie Dodgers with a best before date that expired in the late 1990s.

Pac-Man Party 3D

Spieletester.com
26 September 2013
  • Pros: 50 Minispiele, Simples Prinzip
